Call for Papers
You are cordially invited to submit your research papers for presentation at the 20th Malaysian Finance Association Conference (MFAC) on August 1-2, 2018 that will take place in Langkawi Island (Malaysia), a beautiful island some 30km off the mainland coast of Peninsular Malaysia and one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.
The 20th MFAC is organized by the School of Economics, Finance and Banking, Universiti Utara Malaysia. The aim of this conference is to bring together the local and international researchers and policy makers to present and to discuss research in the frontiers of knowledge in finance, economics and accounting. We welcome submissions, but not limited to the following tracks.

Best Paper Award
THREE (3) MFA Award winning papers will be published in the MFA’s journal, the Capital Markets Review and carry a cash reward of RM1,000 each.
In addition, TWO (2) best papers in Islamic banking and finance area that carry a cash reward of US$1,000 each will be awarded by the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (PBFJ). These papers will be published in a special issue of PBFJ (SSCI).

Submissions can only be targeted at one of the conference associated journals and it must be clearly identified in the online submission form. Selected papers will undergo the journal’s peer review process and acceptance is subject to compliance with the requirements of the respective journal and editorial board decision. For those who aim to submit to the Pacific Basin Finance Journal, selected papers from the conference, after following an appropriate post-conference review process, will be published in a special section of PBFJ.
E-Proceedings with ISBN
All full papers will undergo a blind peer review process to further enhance the academic rigour. Accepted papers will be published in the refereed conference e-proceedings with an ISBN.
